
Soror Shirley Rowser was initiated into Kappa Xi Zeta Chapter in the Spring of 2018. This is her first year on the Executive Board and will assist the President with ensuring the Chapter's adherence to the rules and regulations of the Sorority. Shirley also served on various boards throughout the Syracuse community, i.e., Vera House, Dr. Joan Hillsman Music Network, Inc., YWCA, Executive Board member of the Syracuse Community Connections (aka Syracuse Model Neighborhood Facility) appointed by former Mayor Stephanie Miner of the City of Syracuse. Shirley now serves on the Syracuse Community Health Center Board of Directors. The knowledge she brings with her extensive leadership experience will be a great asset to her role.
Shirley has worked more than 30 years in the business and education fields of Marketing, Account Representation, Training & Development, Quality Management and Instructor, Internationally and Domestically. Shirley is a New York State Certified Adult Education Teacher in Job Skills Training.
Shirley’s ultimate goal is to write a book about her life. Shirley believes that telling her story about how others helped her to be the person she is today can possibly inspire others that all things are possible.
