
Dove Octavia Wilcox graduated from Fisk University in Nashville, TN where she pledged Zeta Phi Beta, Chapter Kappa Gamma. Dove Wilcox’s Pledge Line holds the distinction of being the largest Zeta Phi Beta line in the history of the Kappa Gamma Chapter on Fisk University’s campus. Dove Wilcox obtained her Master’s Degree from Rutgers University and has 36 hours past her masters in Educational Administration, Business, and Leadership.
Dove Wilcox was recognized as New York State Principal of the Year, New York State Blue Ribbon Principal, principal of a school that was named one of the Top 100 Title I Schools in the nation, as well as a New York Blue Ribbon School. Dove Wilcox was named a National Distinguished Principal by President Bill Clinton’s Secretary Of Education. Dove Wilcox has received many awards throughout her career and in May of 2021 she was recognized by New York Assemblywoman Pam Hunter.
Dove Wilcox serves the Kappavating Kappa Xi Zeta Chapter as its Sunshine and Life Event Committee Chair, as well as its Historian. Dove Wilcox has been married for over 40 years to her husband, Eric, and has one child, Jasmine, and one grandchild, Zorah.
Dove Wilcox is a member of Abundant Life Christian Center and has great faith that she believes has been her strength and guide through her life. She is a Minister and believes her calling is helping children, families, and people she comes in touch with.
Her Zeta Phi Beta goal in life was solidified when she and the 29 other Sorors pledged on the campus of Fisk University – that is; to ensure Zetas are beacons of community service, sisterhood and scholarship with Finer Womanhood readily conveyed in everything they do.
